About the Author:
Anne Durham, the author of this website, has been teaching in primary and secondary schools in Australia for over thirty years.
Her teaching experiences vary from working in schools in metropolitan Sydney to students from remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
She has also been a training provider for adults, in literacy courses at Technical and Further Education Institutions as well as English to migrants and humanitarian entrants as part of the Australian Government’s Adult Migrant English Program.
Anne has also delivered employer developed literacy programs to their employee participants in the business sector.
Anne’s experiences have also included working as a Secondary Literacy Consultant, for Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn.
She was employed in this position for six years.
The scope of Anne’s career has provided her with the insight to ascertain how students, parents and teachers could benefit from an online resource which could provide text analysis and literacy scaffolding.
This resource is targeted, although not limited to, Years 5 to 10.
Anne has a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Applied Linguistics. She is currently teaching at a secondary school in Canberra.

The world is an ever-changing place and schools seek to provide their teaching staff with the tools to prepare students for their futures.
A targeted repository for help with writing skills:
This resource has been developed to help students with their writing across the Key Learning Areas. The program also provides a place where students’ work can be published.
As a reference:
Parents and teachers can also access this resource to assist them to nurture the skills of the students.
A contemporary learning medium:
The classroom teaching environment, so as to be inclusive of new technologies, is continually evolving. Consequently, this program, designed as a visual learning tool, seeks to embrace young people’s fascination and involvement with screen based activities.
This program has the potential to engage the students in a wide range of computer based learning strategies.
